Who knew the polar bear could be so sage? I guess I always did because I learned early in life to take my cues from nature. Nature was my teacher, my student, and ultimately the conduit back to finding and appreciating myself and my true nature. I especially resonate with the advice from a polar bear. Be thick-skinned. Be fearless. There will always be folks who are ready to nay-say your ideas or take your enthusiasm down a notch. Perhaps the negativity does not even come from others. Our own internal voices and pre-determined tapes will chime in whenever we begin to step outside the box and take a chance. This is our internal warning system trying to keep us safe but if we listen too hard to the negative and protective thoughts of our sub-conscious or the voices of others, we may become too fearful to ever take a risk to become something or try something all new and wonderful. Sometimes in our quest for our own true nature, we simply must decide to not care what others think and we must move beyond our internal fears and just reach for the stars.
